Short description
Lisa Bondo Andersen began her PhD at the SODA Lab in July 2024. She holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Engineering Psychology from Aalborg University, Denmark. The field centers on researching and evaluating user experiences of products in various forms, ranging form graphical interfaces to physical products or any other product a person might interact with. Her skills spans both qualitative and quantitative methods, with a particular focus on quantifying data outputs to simplify researcher workflows and streamline data collection processes. In collaboration with LEGO, her master’s thesis applied facial expression analysis to evaluate the user experience of building a LEGO flower set. A semester abroad at UC Berkeley enriched her understanding of creating optimal user experiences, especially in terms of accessibility.
As part of her studies, she worked for three years at the start-up Preely, a platform enabling user experience researchers to collect remote feedback on prototype interactions and survey responses. During an internship withJabra a Danish audio company, she constructed a standardized survey tool for the usability team to evaluate the user experience of their products and to reliably benchmark these against each other. Additionally, she has worked several university research projects focused on survey design and evaluating survey validity.
