On October 21, 2025, the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Munich event returns—bringing
together inspiring voices and cutting-edge insights from the world of data science. This
dynamic half-day event, part of the global WiDS Worldwide initiative from Stanford University,
celebrates the brilliance and diversity of women in the field. This year, we’re thrilled to once
again partner with the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR), alongside TUM and LMU, and to host the event at BR’s headquarters in Munich.
We’re expecting around 140 guests from industry, media, and academia—fostering an
exciting mix of perspectives and experiences.
What can you look forward to?
A rich lineup of talks covering everything from AI in social contexts, evidence-based
communication, and the importance of uncertainty in machine learning, to navigating your first steps in a data science career. The breadth of topics is no coincidence—it reflects the inclusive and interdisciplinary spirit of both the Stanford-led global movement and our local Munich community.
Whether you're a student, researcher, industry professional, or simply curious about data
science, WiDS Munich promises insight, inspiration, and meaningful connection. All genders
are welcome to join the conference! We can’t wait to see you there!
