The Data Science for Social Good (DSSG) Fellowship has officially started!

Talented data scientists from all around the world arrived in Munich for the 2-month fellowship program dedicated to leveraging data science for impactful social change. Five fellows will be working on the project, supported by two SODA members: Jan Simson as the Technical Mentor and Anna Fuchs as this year’s Project Manager.

The kick-off event of DSSGx Munich 2026 took place in early August. During the event, this year’s project was introduced:

Predicting the Effectiveness of Tailored Intervention Components within Structured Primary Care Approaches for Depression

The project is hosted by our two professors from the SODA Lab: Prof. Frauke Kreuter and Prof. Christoph Kern.
