Who we are
LMU Alumni – Statistics and Data Science e.V. is a non-profit association for graduates of the Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, and Diplom programs in Statistics and Data Science at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. It is also a community for all current and former members of the Institute of Statistics. The goal of the association is to bring together alumni of the Institute of Statistics at LMU and foster a professional network.
The association strives to offer its members valuable resources and opportunities. Whether you want to advance your career, exchange ideas on methodological topics, or simply stay in touch with former fellow students, the alumni association is the perfect platform for you.
As a member, you will receive regular updates about upcoming events and can take part in the association’s activities and initiatives.
What we do
Our goal is to build a strong network between graduates and current students. Our planned activities include:
- Facilitating networking between graduates and students, e.g., for student jobs, internships, career entry, and later career stages
- Building networking opportunities through a LinkedIn group
- Organizing alumni meet-ups
- Supporting career entry by providing salary comparison tables and information about interview processes
- And much more in the future
Become a member
The membership fee is €10 per year and is free for the first two years after your last degree. The fee for supporting members is €100 per year for individuals and €500 for legal entities.
As we are a non-profit organization, membership fees are generally tax-deductible.
